Classic Comfort Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) meat of choice (beef, chicken, or pork), cut into pieces

  • 2 tbsp oil or butter

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups vegetables (carrots, peas, or green beans)

  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) diced tomatoes or tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, or oregano)

  • Optional: 1 cup broth (chicken or beef) for more sauce
