NANA’S CLASSIC BAKED APPLE DUMPING CAKE

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples
    Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C.
    Place sliced apples in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.

  2. Add the cake layer
    Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the apples.

  3. Top with butter
    Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix to help it crisp and brown during baking.

  4. Bake
    Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples are bubbly.

  5. Serve
    Let cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
