Cook the sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease. -
Make the filling
While sausage is still warm, mix in softened cream cheese (and cheddar if using) until smooth and well combined. -
Prepare the dough
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle into 2–3 smaller pieces. -
Assemble
Place a small spoonful of sausage mixture onto each dough piece. Roll or pinch closed. -
Bake
Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. -
Serve
Let cool slightly and serve warm. Watch them vanish.
