Savory Chicken Hand Pies

Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • ½ small onion, finely diced

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ cup frozen peas & carrots

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ¼ cup milk or cream

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

For the Crust

  • 2 sheets refrigerated puff pastry (or pie crust)

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
