The Secret to the Crunchiest, Crispiest Bacon Ever

Ingredients

  • Bacon slices

  • 1–2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • Optional: black pepper, paprika, or cayenne


Method 1: Oven (BEST for shape & crunch)

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F / 205°C

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil

  3. Lightly sprinkle flour over both sides of the bacon
    (very light — don’t cake it on)

  4. Lay bacon flat (use a rack if you want ultra-crisp)

  5. Bake 18–25 minutes, flipping once

Method 2: Skillet

  1. Dust bacon lightly with flour on both sides
